and many more gems of the above sort flowed throughout from the pen of Dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra in his latest telugu movie “Kanche”.

Kanche is a Telugu film released on 22nd oct 2015, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi(Krish). Krish, famous for his Telugu social dramas Gamyam,Vedam, KVJ came up with a war based film this time. Based on the theme of  second world war, Krish masterfully written the story that touches war and its dreadful outcomes,Hitler’s Nazi killings and a beautiful Love story between the Lead Pair Varun Tej and Pragya jaiswal. The screen play alternates between the the II world war (present) and village drama involving caste killings(past).

Credit to be given to Krish for balancing the script between the war episodes and the caste system prevailed in our day to day life. He intelligently draws the similarities between the kind of havoc war can create and the kind of social repression which a a man insists on his fellow humans by creating virtual barriers.Kanche meaning “the fence” in Telugu reflects the caste barriers in this case and the atrocities caused by caste system in our day to day life. This movie has that soul and a lesson for all of us to treat humans equally. The best thing is the director conveys this message in the least preachy way possible.

I can definitely say that Kanche is a very good thought provoking movie film of recent times. It has all the content related to human values and human emotions.Hats off to Krish for conceiving such an idea and bringing it to us without diluting the content in the name of commercialization. He showed us what he is capable of with Gamyam. When telugu film means a typical commercial film with 6 songs 4 fights and 2 comedy sequences with no content, sticking to a genuine and honest content oriented film needs guts and un shattering passion towards cinema. He yet again proved he got all of this. When movies like Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days, Drisyam, Premam are made in Malayalam and movies like Maryaan, Madras Pattanam, Vishwa Roopam, Uttama Villian are concieved in Tamil Cinema,I pondered many a times why there aren’t any movies of such kind are coming in Telugu.Films like Chandamama Kathalu and Yevade Subramaniam were close enough and Today I got one more film of such sort and I thank Krish for such a movie.

The Dialogues, Cinematography, BGM, Lyrics has definitely helped the director’s Vision .We should appreciate Varun Tej’s Guts and instincts for choosing such a honest script for his very second film of his career. It is even more interesting that Krish in a recent interview told that “Take my word..Varun Tej is one of the greatest actors of Telugu cinema..cut this piece of my interview and save it for future reference. No one but varun Tej could fit into the role of Dhupati HariBabu and I thank Varun for playing him “Frankly you wouldn’t believe this is Varun’s second outing. The way he carried all the emotions is amazing. We got an “actor” here my friends. and what can I say  about Pragya Jaiswal. She was breath taking all over. The way she carried that royality and charm is simply superb. She is a natural talent to watch out for.

As a Movie buff I felt its good thing to write about a good movie and came up with this blog post.If we accept the honest work from directors like Krish, who are rare to find now a days, we will be able to see more and more good movies like “Kanche” in our TFI in the future.
