15.M.S Dhoni-Untold Story (Neeraj Pandey)

 Even if its second half is a bit on the lower side,I loved the first half of M.S Dhoni.Its hard to imitate and enact a living Persona like M.S Dhoni, its even tough when the person you are playing is very thick skinned, but Sushant Singh Rajput has marvelled in his role.With a mind blowing performance like his and a very relatable topic called M.S Dhoni and Cricket, I thought this film deserves to be in my list.

14.Waiting (Anu Menon)

A hospital environment will be very intimidating. It will be even tough when your loved ones are hospitalized indefinitely.Waiting tells us the stories of a young girl and an old man whose spouses are hospitalized and the way they find solace and strength in times of grief. Kalki koechlin and Naseeruddin shah are flawless in their roles.

A heart warming tale of a blind brother and his sister who sets on a journey to meet bollywood superstar Shah rukh Khan. Guess the reason for their wish to meet SRK?To ask his help in operating the boy’s eye sight. Its Emotional Quotient,Commendable Direction of Nagesh Kukunoor,Wonderful acting prowess shown by the two kids brings you a big smile by the end of the film.One thing that comes into mind when I think of this film is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coehlo. Hope you got my point.

Udta Punjab is a promising film made with right intentions of exposing a serious problem of drugs.Superlative Performances of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, ably supported by that of Diljit Singh and Kareena Udta Punjab has sealed a spot in this list.

This Bio-Pic of Neerja Bhanot,an Air India flight attendant who sacrificed her life when saving is soul crushing and Inspirational film.A riveting watch!

 7.AirLift (Raja Krishna Menon)

A war based thriller film that highlights the role played by a Kuwait based Business man, played by Akshay Kumar hits the sweet spot.It emphasizes and applauds the able administration of Indian Govenrment’s success in displacing around 1,70,000 Indians settled in Kuwait during Iraq-Kuwait war.Akshay Kumar mastered in his role.

6.Parched  (Leena Yadav)

Parched is a story about 3 women who tries to escape patriarchy and social evils around them.The rawness and honesty the film carries throughout and breath taking performances of Surveen Chawla, Thanista Chattejee and make it one of the best of the year.

5.Kapoor and Sons (Shakun Batra)

No family is perfect and this film is about the Imperfections with which we all tune to be a family no matter what.Good performances of Ensemble Cast and fine directing by Shakun Batra makes this one of the best main stream Hindi films of the year.
